Equations of Motion

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

This week we learned how to apply the equations of motion to various stories problems. These equations relate the 4 variables we have been studying for 1-dimensional motion:

Postion             Velocity              Acceleration              Time

Here are the equations we are using:
            df = do + vot + (1/2)at2            
            vf = vo + at                                          
            vf2 = vo2 + 2a(df – d0)
          
            accel due to gravity = - 9.8 m/s2

On the Documents tab we worked on "Equations of Motion Practice", with students deciding which level of problem to work on depending on their mathematical abilities. The answers are on the the back page of the document to help guide the work. These problems will be due on Thurs. Nov. 29 (Sec. A) and Friday Nov. 30 (Section B and C)
