Horizontal Projectile Motion

We spent the week using our knowledge of vectors to study projectile motion. We specifically started with horizontal projectiles like the one shown here. Students made their own study sheet and some used their knowledge to solve some crime scene scenarios like determing the velocity of a car that drove off a bridge based on its landing location.

Check out this great video showing an application of projectile motion. We will determine the launch velocity in order to achieve this record-breaking height. We will also determine student's "hang time" this week!
