Force-Mass Lab and "Gravity"

Monday Oct. 7 and Tuesday Oct. 8
We went over the homework today reinforcing Newton's Laws and the idea that when a NET FORCE also called UNBALANCE FORCE acts on an object it ACCELERATES. That means the velocity of the object changes. This could mean speeding up/slowing down or changing direction...as in circular motion. If all the forces on an object are BALANCED, the object could be moving at a constant velocity (or be at rest) in ANY direction. Try to find examples of Newton's Laws in your everyday life...email your ideas to me!

We also completed the Force-Mass Lab which had the goal of determining an equation which will tell us the amount of gravitation force that acts on an object if we know its mass. We will discuss the conclusions to this lab next week.

Stay tuned for an online lesson while I am away at an Online Education Conference in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
