Superposition

Monday March 4 and Tuesday March 5

Today we learned about the amazing Principle of Superposition! Although it seems straightforward on the surface, it has powerful implications. It essentially says that we can calculate the total force on an object by considering each individual force acting and then combining them with vectors. The forces act independently of each other and we can ignore other forces when calculating one of them. so if 10,000 forces are acting on one proton, determine each of those forces separately and then combine them!

We completed a sample problem in class and then worked on "Coulomb's Law Practice"...on the documents tab.
Students also worked on "Electrostatics Practice" in preparation for the quiz on Thursday/Friday.
